California’s Newsom Shuts Down Businesses and Churches Again, but Worry Not: Violent Protests Are Still Ok

Governor Newsom is at it again. It’s showing how the entire state of California is run on hypocrisy. Let’s shut down any opportunity to keep the economy running. It’s safer that way. Instead, let’s only allow violent protests to happen.

What is Newsom thinking? Well, most would argue that he’s not thinking.

We have to reach down deep to try to keep up with the reasoning of a Democrat, especially one that leans so far to the left that it’s a shock he hasn’t tipped right over.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom ordered all dine-in restaurants, bars, movie theaters, museums and other indoor businesses across the state to close Monday as Covid-19 cases continue to climb.

The businesses ordered to close statewide include indoor operations at restaurants, wineries and tasting rooms, movie theaters, family entertainment centers, zoos and museums, cardrooms and bars. They will be allowed to operate outdoors, if possible, he said…

In addition to the statewide order, Newsom also ordered the closure of indoor operations for fitness centers, worship services, personal care services, malls, offices, hair salons and barbershops for all counties which have been on California’s monitoring list for three or more consecutive days, which represent 80% of the state’s population. There are now 30 counties on the list, including Los Angeles, San Diego and Orange counties, Newsom said.

California’s COVID numbers are up. They opened up the economy too fast. Okay, well that’s reasonable enough. But, to ignore the violent protests as a cause for the spike in numbers, too, just makes no sense at all.

Many businesses were requiring masks. People complied and added social distancing for good measure. It allowed people to live their lives and not have to worry about contracting the virus. It also allowed business owners to thrive. It was a win-win for everyone.

Effective immediately, CA is closing some indoor business operations statewide and additional indoor business operations in counties on @CAPublicHealth Monitoring List for 3 consecutive days.

Let’s look at who weren’t following the rules: BLM protesters. They gathered in mass, they didn’t wear masks, and they most certainly didn’t social distance themselves. Oh, yeah, and many are looting and breaking other laws. But we’ll ignore that. Let’s not take away their rights or do anything that would bring order to the cities.

Essentially, Newsom is more concerned with his popularity than anything else. He wants the protesters to like him. He wants the BLM supporters to vote for him.

So, you can’t get your hair done, worship in church, or sip wine in Napa Valley. However, you can join a thousand of your socialist-crazed friends to tear through a major city with signs, guns, and anything you can get your hands on that will allow you to rip into and mar any statue that you don’t agree with.

As the numbers will inevitably start to climb because Newsome doesn’t see how two-faced he’s being about it all, what will he have left to close? Perhaps he’ll figure out how to close the grocery stores and deem them as non-essential. Maybe he’ll figure out that not everyone is donning a mask when they go into a store.

Don’t expect him to blame the protesters. He’s too much of a left-leaning Dem to place the blame on the protesters. It’s why all across the country, protests are the asterisk on the list of closures. Groups of dozens cannot gather for a wedding or to sip wine while discussing the book of the month. Instead, if you want to get together with your friends, you need to join the cancel culture and muster up as much violence as you can. As long as there are at least 100 of you, huddled together while leaving your masks at home can you actually get together. Otherwise, you’re breaking the law.

How can Newsom not see it? How can he be okay with mass gatherings that are not only large in number but also destructive? He’d rather avoid reopening the schools on August 18 than tell the BLM supporters that it’s time to break it up.

In the governor’s recent announcement, one slide read that “Californians must adapt to new behaviors if we are to slow the spread.” New behaviors, apparently, are to be completely ignorant to some of the biggest issues happening within the state.

Too many people are going to be punished by the governor’s drastic new changes. It will hurt the economy in the state and across the nation with his closures. Meanwhile, as more businesses are forced to close, it will only lead to more boredom. And what do bored Dems do? They try to overthrow their cities and join up with the cancel culture to make sure there’s nothing in their communities that offend them.
